A much loved father of a much loved friend - when I first came to London I used to go ballroom dancing near Surbiton Lagoon which was derelict by then. I love lidos and was so delighted to hear that Jackie's parents had memories of it when it was still in use - I always think of you when I see photos of it in its heyday, with everyone always smiling and having fun, no matter what sort of a summer it was.
